Terms of use
Rules governing use of the Theologia Reformata site, a free pedagogical resource self-published in Switzerland.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the site theologia-reformata.ch (hereinafter “the Site”), a free pedagogical resource devoted to the comparative study of the Christian traditions. Access to the Site entails full and unreserved acceptance of these terms.
Access to the Site
The Site is freely accessible, without mandatory registration, to anyone with an Internet connection. The publisher endeavours to ensure continuous access but cannot be held liable for interruptions, suspensions or unavailability of the Site, whatever the cause.
Optional features requiring a personal API key (conversation with the Magister) are the sole responsibility of the user within their contractual relationship with the API provider concerned.
Intellectual property
The contents of the Site (texts, pedagogical structures, comparative tables, graphic elements) are protected by the Swiss Federal Copyright Act (CopA, SR 231.1). They may be consulted, quoted and used freely for personal, pedagogical and academic purposes, with acknowledgement of the source.
Any substantial reproduction for commercial purposes requires the prior authorisation of the publisher. The ancient source texts quoted (Scripture, the Fathers, confessions of faith) are in the public domain in their original languages; the translations quoted remain subject to the rights of their respective publishers, listed in the bibliography.
Nature of the content and absence of warranty
The Site presents the Christian traditions from an academic, comparative and confessionally neutral perspective. The content is written with the assistance of artificial intelligence and revised by human proofreading; despite the care taken over its accuracy, it is provided “as is”, with no warranty of completeness or freedom from error. It constitutes neither the authorised theological opinion of any Church nor spiritual, pastoral or legal advice.
Readers are invited to verify the references in the critical editions cited and to consult the academic institutions mentioned in the “Further study” sections.
External links
The Site contains links to third-party resources (universities, journals, editions of sources). The publisher exercises no control over these resources and disclaims all liability as to their content, their availability or their data practices.
Personal data
Data processing is described on the Privacy (FADP / GDPR) page. Pedagogical progress data is stored locally in the user’s browser and is not transmitted to the publisher.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute relating to use of the Site falls, subject to mandatory provisions to the contrary, within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Canton of Geneva.
Amendment of the terms
The publisher reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The online version is authoritative. Last updated: June 2026.
